SUMMARY:What Kind of Field? with Peter Philippson
DESCRIPTION:IG-FEST was founded on the basis of a 'Field-Emergent' understa
 nding of Self and therapy - but what does 'field' mean? Many different the
 orists inside and outside Gestalt Therapy have taken different philosophic
 al positions on this\, with Frank-M. Staemmler calling it a 'Babylonian co
 nfusion'. I would rather welcome a diversity of different viewpoints\, but
  to explore what is similar and different between those approaches\, and w
 hat is the implication for how we do Gestalt Therapy.\n\nIn this webinar a
 nd discussion\, I will present some philosophical background and some of t
 he differences in how people have written about the field. I will present 
 my own views\, and invite both discussion and for participants to present 
 their views\, and what it means for us all when we are working with client
 s in therapy.\n\nThe webinar will be recorded\, and the recording will be 
 put on the IG-FEST website for members to view.
