DESCRIPTION:Dear IG-Fest colleagues\,\n\nThe next on-line meeting of the bo
 ok club will be on Thursday the 28th of August at 6am (BST)\, for 2 hours.
 \n\nThe book we will be reviewing is:\n\nGestalt Therapy in Clinical Pract
 ice: From Psychopathology to the Aesthetics of Contact (2013 / 2022)\n\nWi
 th emphasis on chapters 11.  Gestalt and Developmental Theories and 12  Sh
 ame.\n\nPlease join us\, even if you’ve only read a portion of this book
 .\n\n\nThese are my suggestions for its operation (these can be shaped by 
 the attendees as we go along):\n\nBrief check-in\;\n\nReminder of brief gr
 ound-rules (respect of book and writer\, and of each others’ views - alt
 hough this doesn’t mean liking all aspects of the book or agreeing with 
 views\, have your mics off unless you are speaking)\;\n\nI record the meet
 ing after check-in\;\n\nWe collectively review a Gestalt therapy related p
 ublication (this can range from academically formal to heartfelt)\;\n\nIt 
 is not necessary to have read the whole book\, a chapter or two is suffici
 ent. An hour is given over to this (attendees do not have to have read any
  of the book\, although it won’t be much of a review unless at least one
  person has\, other than me)\;\n\nWe then have a short break (10 mins)\;\n
 \nIn the remaining time someone or a few members share a brief insight\, o
 r mini-review\, of any therapy related publication they recommend (authors
  very welcome to introduce and give overviews of their new publications at
  this point - please inform me prior to meeting)\;\n\nSomeone suggests a G
 estalt book to review at the next meeting (can be recent publication or pr
 eviously published)\;\n\nBrief check-out.\n\nThe recordings are listed by 
 date and the main book title reviewed and available to all IG-Fest members
 \;\n(Optional: I get the Zoom AI to provide a summary written review of ea
 ch session – I imagine AI can easily translate this).\n\nI’m happy to 
 make adjustments to this format as necessary.\n\nIf you sign up or reply t
